NOTICE —This Data & Safety disclosure applies to all past, present, and future use of GV Cricket, including all matches created, scored, or accessed at any time before or after the effective date shown above. GV Cricket does not permanently archive match data or uploaded images. All data is held on a strictly transient basis. You are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of any data you need to retain, and for ensuring your use of GV Cricket complies with all applicable data-protection, privacy, child-safety, and safeguarding laws in your jurisdiction. For all data access, deletion, correction, or safety requests, submit a request through the Contact Page.
This page summarizes the data-handling practices of the GV Cricket app and GV Cricket software in plain terms alongside the detailed Privacy Policy. It is intended to help match operators, scorers, organizers, players, schools, clubs, leagues, and spectators understand what data GV Cricket collects, how it is used, whether it is shared, how long it is kept, and what rights and choices you have.

Data collected — summary
1.Match data (required to use core features): match name, team names, overs, player names, roster details, scoring events, innings, match dates, announcements, and match results.
2.Location data (optional or user-initiated): a typed location label or country label you enter, a GPS-derived latitude, longitude, and timezone if you explicitly grant browser GPS permission, or a broad approximate IP-based location used only for technical operations such as timezone suggestion.
3.Uploaded media (optional, transient): match cover images and team graphics submitted through the image upload tool. A compatible browser may resize, compress, or re-encode an image before GV Cricket forwards it through its hosting infrastructure to a third-party image host, currently ImgBB. After a successful remote upload, GV Cricket's primary database is intended to retain compact references and metadata rather than the image file.
4.Contact and support data (submitted when you contact GV Cricket): your name, email address, the details of your request, and supporting evidence you choose to provide through the Contact Page (https://gvcricket.com/contact).
5.Technical and usage data (automatic): browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, interaction timestamps, error logs, and IP address. Where you accept analytics cookies, aggregated usage signals may also be collected.

Data not collected
1.GV Cricket does not require account registration, login credentials, or passwords to use core scoring features.
2.GV Cricket does not intentionally collect payment or financial data.
3.GV Cricket does not intentionally collect biometric data, health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or trade union membership unless voluntarily entered by the user into a free-text field.
4.GV Cricket does not systematically collect government-issued identification numbers, passport details, or official identity documents.

Transient image and match data storage
1.GV Cricket is a transient software tool and does not operate a permanent image archive, cloud backup facility, or long-term data warehouse.
2.Uploaded images and match records are stored on a temporary, transient basis only. GV Cricket may delete, compress, overwrite, or restrict any image, match record, or data entry at any time without notice for any reason, including server optimization, policy compliance, stale-data cleanup, content moderation, or technical changes.
3.You are solely responsible for maintaining independent offline copies, records, and backups of all match data, rosters, images, and results. GV Cricket is fully and unconditionally released from all liability, claims, losses, and damages of any kind arising from the loss, corruption, compression, deletion, restriction, or unavailability of any data or media submitted to the platform.

Data sharing
1.GV Cricket does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2.GV Cricket shares data needed to operate the app with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, email, geocoding, weather, security, and image-processing or image-hosting providers. Providers process that data under the applicable agreement and their own published terms and privacy policies.
3.Match data you choose to make publicly accessible through shared links, spectator pages, result pages, or overlays is visible to anyone with access to those links, including search engines, social platforms, messaging apps, and caching services.
4.GV Cricket may disclose data when required by applicable law, court order, regulatory process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of GV Cricket, users, or third parties.

Data sharing — checklist
1.Shared with third parties for advertising or marketing: No.
2.Sold or rented to data brokers or list providers: No.
3.Shared with infrastructure and hosting providers: Yes, limited to what is needed to operate the platform.
4.Shared with a third-party image-hosting provider: Yes, when you upload an image. The current provider is ImgBB (https://imgbb.com/privacy and https://imgbb.com/tos).
5.Shared with analytics providers: Only if you accept optional analytics cookies.
6.Shared with law enforcement or courts: Only where legally required or to protect safety.
7.Shared as part of a business transfer: Possible in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

Data retention
1.Match data, compact image references, and associated metadata are generally retained while the match exists and is not deleted, plus such additional time as needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, dispute handling, and backup integrity. The third-party image host controls retention of the underlying hosted file under its own systems and policies.
2.Support, privacy, legal, and abuse request records are retained for a limited period after resolution for audit, compliance, accountability, and legal defense purposes.
3.Aggregate, non-identifying statistics derived from match activity are retained indefinitely as product usage metrics. These are not deleted when an individual match or user record is removed.
4.When data is no longer needed for its stated purpose and no legal retention obligation applies, GV Cricket will delete or anonymize it using reasonable technical processes.

Cookies and local storage
1.Strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage are set automatically. These are required for scoring session continuity, operator state, match access controls, and app preferences. You cannot disable them without breaking core app functionality.
2.Optional analytics cookies are off by default. They are only activated if you affirmatively accept them through the cookie consent banner. Rejecting analytics cookies means no analytics cookie is set.
3.The cookie consent banner appears on eligible pages — such as marketing, setup, and results pages. It is suppressed on active scoring and overlay pages to avoid disrupting live scoring.
4.You may update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon on eligible pages.

Location and GPS data
1.Match location is optional unless you choose to add it.
2.Exact GPS coordinates are only used if you explicitly grant browser GPS permission. GPS coordinates submitted as part of a match location are stored with the match record on a transient basis and may be visible to anyone with a link to the match page.
3.Approximate IP-based location is used solely for technical operations such as time-zone suggestion and is not stored as a permanent personal profile.
4.Do not enter private home addresses, exact school locations, or sensitive youth-event venue details unless you have appropriate permission and understand that the data may be visible to match spectators.

Children and youth data
1.GV Cricket is not directed to children under 13 or below the minimum digital consent age applicable in the user's location.
2.Do not enter full names, exact school names, home addresses, or personal details of children into public match fields without the required parent, guardian, school, club, league, or venue permission.
3.If GV Cricket becomes aware that personal data about a child has been collected without required consent, GV Cricket may delete or restrict that data as quickly as reasonably practicable.

Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data that GV Cricket holds about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through the Contact Page (https://gvcricket.com/contact).
1.Access request: Include your email address, the relevant match URL or match ID, and what data you are requesting access to.
2.Correction request: Include the specific data that is incorrect and what the corrected version should be.
3.Deletion request: Include your email address, the match URL or match ID, and what you want deleted. Deletion may be limited where records are needed for legal compliance, security, dispute handling, or backups.
4.Objection or opt-out: Include the processing activity you are objecting to and your basis for the objection.
5.GV Cricket may need to verify your identity before processing a request. Requests that cannot be verified, are fraudulent, abusive, or technically infeasible may be declined.
6.If you believe your request was not handled appropriately, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
1.GV Cricket uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
2.No app, website, or internet transmission is completely secure. You assume the risk of transmitting data over the internet and storing data in browser storage or sharing match links with others.
